How do I apply to Brainnovations?

Why should I join Brainnovations?

Brainnovations is the world’s first exclusively BrainTech Launchpad! This 4 month long program will take startups through everything they need to know in order to become a successful braintech venture. This includes a unique curriculum of lectures and workshops given by world class experts. Topics include product definition, marketing, funding, intellectual property, regulation and much more, all from the unique angle of the braintech world. One-on-one mentoring by leading entrepreneurs, investors and life science experts, access to IBT’s extensive expert network, and investor introductions including angels, VCs, multinationals, incubators and others.
A vibrant co-working space: SOSA is a unique co-working space founded by Israel’s most prominent investors. Participants will benefit from the high energy, the knowledge sharing and the constant interactions between startups and corporations at SOSA.

Who is this program for?

The program is intended for entrepreneurs, scientists and inventors with early stage projects in the braintech arena. The scope for applications includes everything from pharma, medical device and digital health to consumer.

How much does it cost? Does IBT take equity?

IBT does not take equity, participation fee for Brainnovations is 3000 NIS per team.

What is the screening process for the program?

Our screening committee will select the best teams to participate in the program. Following an online review of the applications, the committee will invite some of the teams for a face to face meeting. Projects will be evaluated based on the level of innovation, feasibility, and the skills and background of the core team members.

What is the time commitment required for the program?

There are 2 program days per week, these meetings will include lectures and workshops. In addition, participants need to be available to meet with mentors and consultants.

Do all team members need to attend all sessions of the program?

No. We ask that one member of each team attends all sessions. However, we do ask that all team members attend special meetings such as the launch event and meetings with international speakers.

If I have a good idea, but still don’t have a team, can I still join the program?

In such a case you should apply to the program and specify in your application form that you are looking to team up. We will do our best to help you find the right partners for your initiative.

Do I need to legally establish a company in order to join the program?

No.

Will Brainnovations or my mentors share my IP?

No. The participants chosen for the program come with their own IP, in different stages of development. We expect that if any IP will be created during the program, it will be the result of the work of the participants. We also guide our mentors to avoid IP conflicts.

Can I talk to Brainnovations about my idea before applying or ask further questions?
